Create Bulletin

Explanation

Use this activity to create a new bulletin to be published. The new bulletin will be available in the Production Unit window for the time period specified during the creation of the log bulletin.

System Effects

The bulletin message can be viewed in the Bulletin area in the Production Unit window. This message is displayed when the system date/time is within the specified Log Bulletin Duration time. Once the specified time period has passed, the bulletin message will be removed automatically from the Bulletin area and will be available as a normal event message.

Procedure

  1. Open the Production Unit window for the production unit you want.
  2. Click Report Log Message (found in the Actions area) to open the Log Event window.
  3. In the Log Event Type list, select the log event you want. Note: Make sure that the selected log event is connected to the system log event type Log Bulletin.
  4. In the From and To fields, enter the period of time the log bulletin is to be displayed in the Production Unit window.
  5. Enter the bulletin message in the Note field.
  6. Enter the ID of the user who registered the log event in the Reported By field. When a value is entered in this field, the given user's default maintenance organization will be populated in the Maintenance Organization field. You can change the default value in the Maintenance Organization field if necessary.
  7. Enter the date and time the log event is to be created in the Reg. Date field. By default, the system date/time is displayed in this field. The default value can be changed.
  8. If needed, enter values for the remaining fields in this window.
  9. Verify the information you have entered and then click Save and Exit.
