Correct Erroneous Event Messages
Explanation
Use this activity to manually correct erroneous event
messages that were received automatically from an external system, such as an
external production system, via IFS/Connect. Due to incorrect or missing
information certain external event messages cannot be registered properly in the
system. If these erroneous events are interpreted as events by IFS/Connect, you
can use this activity to correct the events; whereby it will be available for
use in IFS/OEE. Erroneous events that are not interpreted as events by
IFS/Connect will only be available in failure handling within IFS/Connect, and
cannot be corrected using this activity.
Note: Only users that are granted access to
IFS/OEE as Super Users will be allowed to perform this activity.
Prerequisites
- An active integration (using IFS/Connect) must
exist between an external system and IFS/OEE.
- An event message containing incorrect or missing
information must have been received from an external system, and interpreted
as an event by IFS/Connect.
System Effects
- The erroneous event message(s) is corrected and
can be viewed in the Production Unit and Production Unit
Overview windows.
- If the erroneous event message is not fully
corrected (even after a correction), the event message record will still be
available in the Correct Erroneous Event Messages window for
further corrections.
