Use this activity to stop all replenishment execution activities temporarily for a circuit. The On Hold status is useful if you are using electronic replenishment signals, or if you are recording production against Kanban cards and want to place a temporary hold on this procedure. When placing a circuit On Hold, you must communicate the reason for the hold to the shop floor by selecting a hold reason code. Once a circuit is On Hold, you can either make it Active again or make it permanently Inactive.
You can set up new hold reason codes in the Circuit Hold Reasons tab of the Kanban Basic Data window.
This activity requires the existence of a Kanban circuit with a status of either Active or Recalculated. Also, one or more hold code reasons must have been set up in the Circuit Hold Reasons tab of the Kanban Basic Data window.
As a result of this activity the system temporarily stops all electronic replenishment requests and production reporting for the selected circuit.
