Configure Visualize Tooltip

Explanation

Use this activity to configure the information displayed in the tooltip of a visualizer chart.

Prerequisites

In Visualization Settings/General the check box Enable User Configured Tootip has to be selected.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the tooltip for the visualizer chart will be extended with the specified attributes.

Procedure

  1. Open a window which you want to visualize and configure its tooltip information as per your requirement.
  2. If the Data View is displayed, click Visualization View on the title bar.
  3. Right-click and click Select Visualization. The Select Visualization dialog box is opened.
  4. Double-click on the chart which tooltip you want to configure.
  5. Right-click and click Visualizer Chart Configuration.
  6. Add the attributes which you want to extend the tooltip with, from the right pane to the left either by double-clicking it, or right-click and then click Add Column. This will automatically fill the columns in the left pane. The order column will let you to decide in what order the custom tool tip item should appear  within among custom tool tip items.
  7. Optionally you can add attributes by create a new line in the left pane and specify the PL/SQL expression that fetches the value you want to display in the Sql Column field. You must manually give the attribute a name to be displayed in the tooltip by filling the Title field.
  8. Save.
