Reschedule Operations Automatically
Explanation
Use this activity to reschedule all operations for a site.
Prerequisites
This activity requires that scheduled operations exist. It also requires a site
connected to a Scheduling Server.
System Effects
As a result of this activity the system reschedules any operations that fall within
your specified criteria.

Procedure
- In the Site field, choose the site for which to reschedule operations. Use
List
to select from available sites.
- In the Dispatch Rule list, choose a dispatch rule to specify
how the scheduling logic should sort orders before scheduling
begins. If you do not want to use a dispatch rule, use the default value
None.
- Select the Set Scheduling Start Time
(Hrs from now)
check box, then specify the global start time for rescheduling the operations.
- To specify how you want the Scheduling Server to organize the orders, select one or more
of the remaining check boxes:
- Select Reassign Resources if you want the
Scheduling Server to allow operations to change resources.
- Select As Late as Possible if you want the
Scheduling Server to place the orders as close as possible to their given need date.
- Select Include Released Orders if you want the
Scheduling Server to reschedule shop orders with the status Released as well as those with
the status Planned.
- Select Compress Downstream from Bottleneck
if you
want the Scheduling Server to try to keep the operations of any given shop order as close
as possible to the bottleneck resource.
- Select Refresh Materials if you want the system to update the
Scheduling Server with the current material availability profile for the
site.
- Select Refresh Project Information if you want the
system to update the Scheduling Server with project and project activity
related information for the site.
- Click
OK.
