Approve Resource Breaks

Explanation

This activity is used to approve a resource break which is in Proposed state. The status of the break converts to Unscheduled. In the case of sites using Constraint Based Scheduling (CBS), the break is then transferred to the Scheduling Server, although it is not yet scheduled there. In the case of Advanced Planning Board (APB) sites, only a state change occurs and these Unscheduled resource breaks will be loaded to the APB thereafter. Resource breaks are taken into account only when orders are scheduled using Constraint Based Scheduling (CBS), not when using the Shop Order Infinite Scheduler.

Prerequisites

The activity requires the existence of a resource break in Proposed state.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• the status of the break changes from Proposed to Unscheduled.
• if the break belongs to a CBS site, it is transferred to the Scheduling Server. However, it is not yet scheduled there.
• if the break belongs to an APB site, it is possible to load it to the Advanced Planning Board.

Procedure

1. Populate the window.
2. Select the resource break(s) that you want to approve.
3. Right-click and then click Approve. The status of the selected break(s) changes to Unscheduled.
