Create Remote Warehouse Assortment

Explanation

This activity is used to create a remote warehouse assortment, to prioritize it, to define a list of parts including refill parameters, to set which sites its valid for and to connect it to one or several remote warehouses.

If two assortments contain the same part number which have the same priority, the system will select a part according in the following order:

  1. If the value in the Priority field is the same, select the one with highest Refill Point Qty field value. 
  2. If values in the Priority and Refill Point Qty fields are the same, select the one with highest Refill to Qty field value. 
  3. If values in the Priority, Refill Point Qty and Refill to Qty fields are the same, select the one that was last updated.

As a result of this activity, you have created your assortment and connected it to a remote warehouse.

Procedure

  1. Open the Remote Warehouse Assortment window and create a new record.
  2. Enter an ID in the Assortment field and a description in the Description field.
  3. Click the General tab and enter a priority in the priority field where 1 is of highest priority.
  4. Go to the Parts tab and add a new record.
  5. Select the part you want to add to your assortment by entering it or using List of Values.
  6. Enter refill point and refill to qty.
  7. Go to the Sites tab and add a new record.
  8. Select the site you want this assortment to be valid for by entering it or using List of values.
  9. Save the record.

Note: To set the assortment as valid for all sites select the Valid for all Sites checkbox.

  1. Go to the Remote Warehouses tab and add a new record.
  2. Select the remote warehouse to which you want to connect this assortment by entering it or using List of Values.
  3. Save the record.

Note: To connect the assortment to all your remote warehouses use the right mouse button option Connect to all Remote Warehouses, on the header.
