Manage My Warehouse Task
Explanation
This activity is used to view pending tasks and perform
tasks (Tasks in
status: Released, Parked and Started) for each worker. You can view
the task, either by the task type or the location group. Usually this activity
is performed by the workers in the warehouse terminal or truck.
Prerequisites
- A worker should exist.
- One or more warehouse task(s) should be created.
- Stock should not be frozen for counting.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- The system displays the required data as per
selected filter criteria.
- The system creates the next available task and places it at the
top of the task list. Also note that if there are any tasks in the
Started status, they will be placed on the top of the tasks list and the
other available tasks will follow.
- If the task queue is empty, the system can create
a new task. Hence it will allow the user to assign and begin unassigned
tasks.
- The system removes the completed tasks from the
task list.

Procedure
- Open the My Warehouse Task window
and query for the required worker ID.
- Populate or query for the required worker ID. All the tasks in the Released, Parked or Started
status are displayed in the top table.
- If you need to start the next available task, click Start
Next Task. It is possible to start a new task only if you do not have
any task in the Started status.
- To complete a task, click Complete Task.
After completing a task it is possible to start a new task and the completed
task will disappear from the task list.
- If there are no tasks available in the queue, it
is possible click New and you can assign a suitable task. The New
option is enabled only if there are no tasks available in the queue.
- If you wish to start a task other than the one on top of the task list,
select the desired task on the list and then click Start Selected.
- If you wish to hold a task you have started, click Parked.
- If you need to view by the task type: Click
Search Task and the Search Task dialog box is displayed.
Then click the
Filter by Task Type option, and select the required task type from the
Task Type list.
- If you need to view by the location group: Click
Search Task and the Search Task dialog is displayed.
Then click the Filter by Location Group option, and enter or select
the required location group using the List of Value in the Location Group
field.
Note: It is possible to view a short summary for
a selected task, in the appropriate tab.
If the part is serial tracked at receipt and issue but not serial tracked in inventory, a dialog box
appears when the task is completed, where
the serial number(s) that have been moved or picked should be identified.
