Enter Internal Destination

Explanation

Use this activity to enter internal destinations. Internal destinations are used when you receive material from your supplier and perform an internal distribution to the location where the parts are requested. This can also be used when moving material from an inventory location.

The internal destination entered can later be used on material requisitions, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and order requests for quotation.

Prerequisites

• The user has to be connected to the site where the internal destination is situated.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• The different internal destinations will be available in a List of Values when entering material requisitions, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, or order requests for quotation.

Procedure

1. Open the Inventory Basic Data window.
2. Select the Internal Destinations tab.
3. Create a new line.
4. Enter an internal destination ID and a description of the destination.
5. Connect the internal destination to a site by using the List of Values or by entering the short code for the site.
6. Save the changes.
