Define Subtasks for Instructions
Explanation
This activity is used to connect a subtask to an
instruction. You can choose to create and connect a subtask or to connect an
existing subtask to the instruction. Subtasks are used to describe how the instruction should be
performed. It is possible to connect several subtasks to an instruction. When a
subtask is connected to an instruction, the following rules apply:
- Number of persons for both the instruction and
connected subtask can be entered as a whole on the instruction. When this is
done, number of persons on the individual subtask line can be set to 0.
- Hour consumption for both the instruction and
connected subtask can be entered as a whole on the instruction. When this is
done, hour consumption on the individual subtask line can be set to 0.
- Material lists can be defined for both the
instruction and connected subtask.
- Tools and facilities can be defined for both the
instruction and connected subtask. However, the same Tool/Facility ID
cannot be entered on both the instruction and connected subtask.
- Zones and access panels cannot be defined for both
the instruction and subtask. Note that it is possible
to connect a subtask with zones to an instruction with zones if the
instruction is in the Preliminary status. However, when this
instruction is activated, the zones that are defined on the instruction will
be removed automatically.
- Signature requirements can be defined for both the
instruction and subtask.
Prerequisites
- Instructions must have been defined for the part
revision.
- Subtasks must have been defined for the same part
revision as the instruction.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, subtasks will be
connected to an instruction. If the subtask being connected does not already
exist, the subtask will be created. The subtasks will once again be transferred
to the work order together with instructions.
