Assign Part Revisions
Explanation
This activity is used to assign part revisions to a post maintenance check
definition. When a serial part is assigned to the post maintenance check
definition, all existing revisions of the part will be assigned automatically to
the definition as well. You can remove the part revisions for which the post
maintenance check definition is not valid and connect new part revisions that
may be created at a later stage.
Prerequisites
- A post maintenance check definition must have been defined and the
relevant serial parts should be assigned to it.
- To assign a new part revision, the part revisions must have been
defined.
System Effects
- The post maintenance check definition is valid for the assigned part
revisions.
- The post maintenance check definition can be activated. When the
definition is activated, it can be connected to modifications and faults
reported against the serials of the assigned part revisions, for which
additional post maintenance checks should be carried out.
- Instructions and sign off requirements can be defined for the post
maintenance check definition.
- If a part revision is added to or removed from an active post
maintenance check definition, this change will be recorded in the journal
for the definition.
