Activate

Explanation

Use this activity to change the status of a (maintenance level or repair code) structure or routing from Preliminary to Active. You can then change the status from Active to Obsolete or from Active back to Preliminary. 

If the Structure Update attribute on the site in Site/Manufacturing is set to Restricted, the (maintenance level or repair code) structure or routing cannot be modified when it has Active status. If the Structure Update attribute is set to Enhanced or Simplified, you can modify the (maintenance level or repair code) structure or routing the same as you would if it has Preliminary status.

Prerequisites

If this activity is used for maintenance level structures, an assembly/disassembly product structure must be defined and it must have an alternative with Buildable status. The maintenance level or repair code structure must be in Preliminary status.

If this activity is used for maintenance level or repair code routings, an assembly/disassembly routing must be defined and its routing alternative must have a Buildable status. The maintenance level or repair code routing must have Preliminary status.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the status of the (maintenance level or repair code) structure or routing is changed to Active.

Procedure

1. Display the parent part by populating the window or by making a selective query for the part.
2. In the Maintenance Level list, enter or select the maintenance level, or, in the Repair Code list, enter or select the repair code.
3. Right-click and then click Activate in any of the following windows:Maintenance Level Structure, Maintenance Level Routing,  Repair Structure or Repair Routings.
