Explanation
This activity is used to manage the status and revision handling of a linear
asset.
The following actions are used to change the operational status:
- Set Planned for Operation
- Set In Operation
- Set Out of Operation
- Set Scrapped
If IFS/Asset Design is installed and a design object is connected to the
linear asset, the following actions are used to change the design status and
hence the revision of a linear asset:
- Set Completed
- Set ReDesign
Refer to About Linear Asset for a complete description of statuses.
Prerequisites
- A linear asset must exist.
- For revision handling IFS/Asset Design must be installed.
System Effects
Changing the operational status may cause the status of connected segments to
change, if chosen to do so. It is also possible to change status on individual
segments and that may cause the operational status on the linear asset to
change.
Changing the design status to ReDesign, a new revision of
the linear asset will be created.
