Modify Connection

Explanation

This activity is used to modify the basic information relating to a consolidation connection such as the ownership percentage, consolidation method etc.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, the status of the consolidation structure should be In Progress.

As a result of this activity, the consolidation connection is modified.

Procedure

To disconnect reporting entities from a consolidation structure:

1. Open the Consolidation Structure window and search for the consolidation structure from which the consolidation connection should be disconnected.
2. In the graphical presentation of the structure, select the node for which the consolidation connection should be modified. All the connections of the selected node will be displayed in the Structure Connections Details table.
3. Right-click on the connection that should be modified and click Modify Connection to open the Modify Connection dialog box.
4. Enter the ownership percentage for the modified connection in the New Ownership field.
5. Select a value for the Consolidation Method field.
6. Enter the date from which the modification is valid in the Event Date field.
7. Modify the value displayed in the Period field if required. (Note: A value is automatically displayed when the event date is entered.)
8. Enter a description in the Comment field if required.
9. Double click on the Notes check box, if you want to enter notes about the modification of the connection.
10. Click OK.
