Print Update Journal
Explanation
Use this activity to print update journals. These are the two different
types of update journals:
- Detailed Journal. The detailed journal contains four parts.
The first part displays general information including the journal number and the number of
vouchers updated and returned, i.e., incorrect vouchers. The second part displays a
summary of voucher rows by voucher type. The third part displays vouchers returned, i.e.,
vouchers that have not passed the checks during updating. The fourth part displays
detailed information on the vouchers that have been updated.
- Summarized Journal. A summarized journal contains three
parts. The first part displays general information including the journal number and the
number of vouchers updated and returned, i.e., incorrect vouchers. The second part
displays a summary of voucher rows by voucher type. The final part displays vouchers
returned, i.e., vouchers that have not passed the checks during updating.
The detailed or summarized journals are displayed in the
Preview window, and you can then print the journal.
Prerequisites
Before the update journal can be printed, the following must have been completed:
- The updating routine must have been performed.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the detailed or summarized
journal is displayed in the Preview window. You can then print the journal.

Procedure
Use the following procedure to print the update journal:
- Open GL Update History and find the
information. The GL Update History window
contains a list of updating journals and information on how the various update routines
are carried out. The information is saved for the number of days specified in the
GL Update
Parameters function.
- Select the identity for the update want to print.
- Select Operations/Updating Journal/With Details or Without
Details.
- Preview the report and print it then, if appropriate.
