Enter Object Class

Explanation

This activity is used to enter object classes. Object classes are used to categorize objects on a basis selected by the user.

Prerequisites

Before an object class can be entered, the following must have been completed:

• The company must exist in IFS Financials.
• FA Accounting must be used as the code part function for a code part. This is defined in Define Code String.

System Effects

The object class entered will be available to be used for objects in the company.

Procedure

1. Open the Object Classes window and create a new record.
2. Enter the ID of the new object class in the Object Class field.
3. Enter a description for the new object class in the Description field.
4. Save the information.
