Enter Main Object Information

Explanation

Use this activity to enter main object information for a fixed asset.

Prerequisites

Before information can be entered in the Main Object tab, the following must have been completed:

• Information on the object must have been entered in the General tab.
• The object type must be Normal or Not Depreciable.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, more information for the object can be entered in the User-defined Base Values tab, the Depreciation Methods tab, and the Pre-posting tab.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to enter information in the Main Object tab:

1. Select the Main Object tab. The object identity is displayed as default.
2. Use List of Values and enter the main object identity.
3. Mark the Inherit Depreciation Plan box or the Inherit Final Depreciation Period box, if appropriate.
4. Save when finished.
