Scrap Fixed Asset Pool Object

Explanation

This activity removes a fixed asset pool object from IFS/Fixed Assets and creates transactions for the event. The individual connected to the scrapped object is transferred from the pool to inventory. You cannot perform a rollback for this activity.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity,

• The object should be available in the Rotable Part Pool window with the FA Status field displaying Allow Scrap. 
• A voucher type for which the function group is A must exist and it must not be connected to a book.

System Effects

The  individual connected to the scrapped object will be returned to inventory, and both inventory and fixed assets transactions are created.

Object, Rotable Part Pool  Scrap Pool Object

Procedure

1. In the Object window, click the Rotable Pool tab.
2. Right-click and then click Scrap Pool Object. The Scrap Pool Object window will be displayed with default data.
3. Modify the details for the Scrap Date, Voucher Date, Voucher Type, and User Group fields, if required.
4. Use the List of Values to select a value for the Disposal Reason field.
5. Click OK.
