Import Fixed Asset Pool Object

Explanation

This activity can be used to import objects that existed as rotable pool objects in a previous system.

Prerequisites

When a fixed asset object, it should be specified that the object is created through import. The object's FA Status (fixed asset status) field should display Import Allowed.

System Effects

As a result of this activity the fixed asset object status will change to Imported.

Procedure

1. In the Object window click on the Rotable Pool tab.
2. Right-click and then click on Import Pool Object. The Import Pool Object dialog box will be displayed.
3. Enter acquisition and depreciation details. Note: Accumulated depreciations have to be entered  per year to show previous years depreciation correctly in reports and queries.
4. Save the record.
