Select GL Project Balance via Structure
Explanation
Use this activity to select project balances via a query and reporting structure.
Structure
Project Analysis displays information for one structure at a time. If the
selection includes information for several structures, the structure identities are
displayed in the Structure ID field.
Prerequisites
Before project information can be queried, the following must have been completed:
- The query and reporting structure must have been specified via
Accounting Structure in
IFS/General Ledger.
- Basic information for the project(s) must have been entered in the Project
Accounting folder in IFS Financials.
- The financial transactions for the project(s) must have been updated to the
General Ledger.
- The authority rules for making queries must have been specified. This is
done via the Basic Data folder in IFS/General Ledger.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the user can use the Zoom-in function to define how the
selected data is to be displayed on screen.

Procedure
Use the following procedure to select and display project information:
- Open
Structure Project Analysis.
- Use the Search function. Specify the selection of data in the Search dialog box. Confirm
the information.
- Define how to display the data in the Zoom-in dialog box. Confirm the information. The
information is displayed in the Structure Level Query tab.
- Select the Structure Node Query tab, if appropriate.
- Select the View Structure tab to display the structure layout, if appropriate.
- Mark one or several rows in the Structure Level Query tab or the Structure
Node Query tab and use the Voucher Information
operation, if appropriate.
