Create Comparison Column
Explanation
Use this activity to create a comparison column. A comparison column is
used to compare, for example, a detailed row with a summary row in order to see the
percentage.
Prerequisites
Before creating a comparison column, the following must have been completed:
- The column template must have been created, copied, or imported.
- The column that is used for comparison must exist.
- The Use as Comparison box must be checked for a row in the row template.

As a result of this activity, a comparison column is added to the column template.

Procedure
Use the following procedure to create a comparison column:
- Open
Column Template and find the column
template where you want to include a calculation column.
- Select Operations/New Column (or double-click on the row) and then
Comparison Column as the type of column you want to create. This opens
Comparison
Column.
- Specify values for Column Name and Description.
- Specify the identity of the column for comparison in the General tab.
Specify also the Override Row Calc and Visible boxes, if appropriate. Save the
information.
- The Layout tab contains default values for how the column is presented in
the report. You can change the values. Save the information.
- Use the Col. Order button in the Layout tab to change the column order,
if appropriate. In the dialog box, mark the name of the column and then click either the
Up or Down button. To start the printing of a column on a new line in the report, mark
'New Line' and click the Up button.
