This activity is used in order to modify a hierarchical parent object in structures such as: function, location, from, to, process, pipe system and electrical. The field name for functional parent is called ‘Belongs to Object’. Field names for all other structures correspond to its structure name: location, from, to, process, pipe system and electrical. A functional parent is modified by using a separate right-mouse click option called 'Move Functional Object...' in functional object windows, while all other structure parents are managed directly in its corresponding field.
Main window and the starting point for managing structures is Equipment Object Navigator. This window shows a graphical view and enables creation and modification of structures.
Functional object must have been created and one or several parent objects are assigned.
The new parent object to which the functional object is about to be connected, must have been created.
When added into a new functional structure, object level must have a lower number than the object level on the parent object. (Object level is only validated for the functional structure and not for location, from, to, process, pipe system and electrical structure.)
As a result of this activity, a functional object's parent will be changed in one or several of the following structures: function, location, from/to, process, pipe system and/or electrical.
