[IFS/BA Designer Help Guide]

Writeback

Writeback allows you to transfer data from a IFS Business Analytics report and update IFS Applications. If Writeback is supported for an information source it will be defined in the information source definition. The same report can be used to analyze as well as writeback information. It is possible to compare new values with existing database values before writing back new values to IFS Applications.

Writeback Components

Icon Icon Name Description
Collect Data Sets Use this to collect the data sets that have writeback enabled items.
Collect Modified Data Sets Use this to collect modified data for writeback enabled items.
Collective Writeback Use this to write back information into IFS Applications.
Export to File Use this to export information to a CSV file. This information can then be uploaded to IFS Applications.

Writeback Cell References

With the writeback cell reference functionality, values can be picked directly from cells. This enables users to easily refer cells in the workbook, without typing data values or facing the restrictions from repeaters and filters.
