Designing a Basic Pivot in Financials

Designing a pivot table in Business Analytics can be done in the same way as an Excel pivot report is created. However in Business Analytics pivot table needs to be inserted in the design mode. Please see below how to design a Pivot table in Business Analytics.

Creating a Pivot table in Business Analytics

1. Select the needed display items and drag and drop them to the report.
   Note: Make sure all the display items display in row wise. Try to avoid column wise item expansions as much as possible.
2. Insert row repeaters and filters accordingly. Row is repeated using Account and Year Period values in the example below.
3. Select the data range and insert a pivot table.
   
   
4. Drag and drop the items to the pivot fields.
   
   
5. Execute the report. The report will be shown as follows in the end user mode.
