Perform Impact Analysis
Explanation
This activity is used to check the consequences of replacing a part or even removing
it. It can also be used to locate part revisions that are not frequently used among in the
different models. In order to solve these problems, the following information should be
checked:
- where is the part revision used, i.e., in which models?
- what quantity and total quantity per year are needed for
the part revision in each model?
- what change requests and change order requests have been created for the part?
The information can be used to decide whether it is cost effective, easy, or complex to
replace a specific part revision from an overall point of view.
Prerequisites
- You must perform the Create Product Model Information menu option
