Connect Document to Tag

Explanation

A tag can have a document survey, and you perform this activity to add a document in the survey.

Prerequisites

• The tag must exist in Project Product/Tags.
• To connect a document to a tag in Project Item/Tag Info, the tag must be connected to a project item (See Connect Tags to Project Items for more information).

System Effects

• The document is inserted in the document survey for the tag.
• The document will be listed in the total document survey for the part connected to the tag, with Connected Object Type 'Project Tag' in Attachments of the Project Item window.

Procedure

To connect a document to a tag in Project Product/Tags, follow these steps:

1. Select the tag to which you want to connect a document.
2. Select Attachments/Documents, and select New or Attach to create or attach a document.
3. Save.

To connect a document to a tag in Project Item/Tag Info, follow these steps:

1. Select the item connected to the tag, and select the Tag Info tab.  
2. Click the Attachments on task pane.
3. Click Documents, and select New or Attach to create or attach a document.
4. Save.

To connect a document to a tag in Project Item Navigator, follow these steps:

1. In the graphical structure, select the item that is connected to the tag.
2. Select the Tag Info tab, and click the Attachments on task pane.
3. Select Attachments/Documents, and select New or Attach to create or attach a document from the right mouse button menu.
4. Save.
