Modify and Change Usability of Currency

Explanation

Use this activity to add or remove the currency codes that are available for use in the system. You can also edit the description, e.g., for translation purposes. This activity is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person. 

An international list of ISO codes for currency is pre-installed and new currencies can be user defined, if required. Selecting the Used in Application check box makes the three-character alphanumeric currency code available system-wide. 

Prerequisites

None.

System Effects

All selected currency codes will be available system-wide in the List of Values, e.g., company setup, customer record, supplier record, etc.

Procedure

To perform this activity, follow these steps:

1. Open the ISO Code Usage window and click the Currency tab.
2. Query for the currency codes you want to add or remove.
3. To add a currency code for use to the system, select the Used in Application check box in the row containing the code you wish to add.
4. To remove a currency code for use from the system, clear the Used in Application check box in the row containing the code you wish to remove.
5. To edit or translate a description, use the Description field.
6. Save the changes.
