Search for a Technical Class

Explanation

Use this activity to search for technical classes to which you want to connect numeric and alphanumeric attributes to a template. 

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• The Characteristic tab must be enabled in IFS Admin for the IFS object. 
• The technical class must have been entered as basic data in the Technical Classes and Attributes/Classes window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• Numeric attributes can be connected to a template on the Numeric tab.
• Alphanumeric attributes can be connected to a template on the Alphanumeric tab.

Procedure

To perform this activity, follow these steps:

1. Open the Technical Class Template window.
2. In the Technical Class field, query for the technical class for which you want to connect numeric or alphanumeric attributes.
