Enter User Defined Units
Explanation
Use this activity to add user-defined units of measure to the system. This
mandatory task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.
A unit of measure can be any value from hours to kilograms. Once saved, only
the description can be modified. If the description is not translated to the
current language, it will first be displayed in English, then change to the
first-saved language, enclosed in two symbols (<>). All changes made to
the description are saved in the language in which you are working.
The list of all available
user-defined and predefined units of measure is displayed in the
ISO Code
Usage/Unit of Measure
window. The relationship between the unit of measure and the conversion factor is
defined in the Unit Relationships window.
