Enter Message Setup

Explanation

Use this action to define inbound and outbound messages, which are normally EDI messages for any type of party, e.g. Company, Supplier, and Customs. Prior to using this window, define message classes and media codes in Foundation1. This is done in the IFS/Solution Manager in Setup Connectivity/Message Class and Setup Connectivity/Message Media, respectively.

Prerequisites

• To be able to enter a message setup for a company, the company must have been created.
• For other parties, e.g. Customers and Suppliers, you must first have entered the identity of the part.

Procedure

1. Create a new record.
2. Enter values in Message Class, Media Code and Address columns.
3. Save the record.
