Define Attribute Definitions

Explanation

Use this activity to define the column length and number of rows for existing components. This optional task is only to be performed, after IFS verification, by a system manager or equivalent person.

No new attributes can be created in this window. Values must be within the parameters of the components. If several components share the same attributes, the minimum column length and row count will be assigned. Most IFS modules have the same column length and row count. 

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• Components must be installed in order to view the attributes in this window.

As a result of this activity:

• The column length and row count of existing attributes for installed components will be changed.

Procedure

To perform this activity, follow these steps:

1. Open the System LU Values window.
2. On the Attribute Definition tab, query for the attributes whose values you want to change.
3. To change the number of characters in a column, use the Length field.
4. To change the number of rows, use the Rows Count field.
5. Save the changes.
