Generate Basic Data Translations in Translation Manager

Explanation

Use this activity to generate translation files in Translation Manager containing basic data translations.

When the translation work has been completed, the next step will be to generate translation files.

• The trs file, e.g., orderen.lng, containing translations to English for the Order component.

Prerequisites

• Translations must be available in Translation Manager.
• Translation Manager must be granted to the user.

Procedure

1. Open Translation Manager in IFS Enterprise Explorer.
2. Make sure that translations have been made.
3. Open the Scan Translatable Code page.
4. Right click and select Load...
5. Generate component specific translation files for one or more languages.
6. Define the files in the version handling system or use the srd files to create translation in an existing translation.
