Define Home Screen Configurations

Explanation

This activity is used to define home screen configurations. On creating a new Type the list of available filters will be pre-populated. The user can specify which filters should be used by checking the Used In Application and in what order they are displayed by setting the Display Order. It is also possible to set a Type as the Default. If no specific User Configuration is created in Home Screen Configuration then the Default Type will be synchronized to the IFS Mobile Client. To flex the Home Screen per User a record must be entered in the Home Screen Configuration linking the User with the Type.

As a result of this activity, quick work order filters will be displayed on the home screen of the IFS mobile work order client.

Procedure

Create configuration Type:

  1. Open the Home Screen Configuration window.
  2. Click the Type tab and create a new record (F5).
  3. In the Type field, enter a type.
  4. In the Description field, enter a description of the Type.
  5. Select the Default check box if the configuration type to be default.
  6. Save the record (F12).
  7. Available filters will be pre-populated in the table.
  8. Specify which filters should be used by selecting the Used in Application check box.
  9. Enter a display order to specify which order the filters are to be displayed.
  10. Save the record (F12)

Connect configurations to users:

  1. Open the Home Screen Configuration window.
  2. Click the Configuration tab and create a new record (F5).
  3. Enter a User ID, use list of values to select a suitable value.
  4. Enter a Type ID, use list of values to select a suitable value.
  5. Save the record (F12).
