This is not an end-user activity, but an activity that is performed during fresh installations or upgrades. The purpose is to describe how Company Template Translations are initiated.
When IFS Application components are installed during fresh installations or upgrades, one of the last steps of the installation process is to define system Company Templates using ins-scripts.
As a first step during the installation phase, all the basic data for the template is deleted (per component) to prepare for a new version of the template. During this step, all system defined translations will also be deleted (per component). After these deletions, new basic data will be defined. During this phase, PROG entries will be defined in the translation framework for all the basic data supporting company translations. The PROG entry is a fictious language that actually defines the attribute key and the related description.
As a second step during the installation phase, the Company Template translations are defined. All these translations are stored in component specific ins-files, e.g., ACCRUL_CompanyTemplate_STD_en.ins, containing Company Template translations for Accounting Rules for template STD and the language "en". Depending on how the installation kit has been built, translations in one or more languages will be defined.
Note that if a translation already exists then the following will happen:
N/A
After the installation, the following can be done:
