Enter Users per Internal Ledger

Explanation

This activity is used to connect users to internal ledgers. To be able to see information relating to an internal ledger, the user must be connected to the specific ledger. Users can also be connected to authority classes. The extent to which a user can view information on internal ledgers in queries and reports will depend on the authority class to which the user belongs.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to enter information on the users:

  1. Open the Users per Internal Ledger window.
  2. Query for an internal ledger.
  3. Create a new record and enter a user ID and description.
  4. In the Authority Class field use the List of Values to select the authority class, if any, to which the user should belong.
  5. Select the Default Ledger check box, if applicable.
  6. Save the information.

Note: The authority class with the ID MAX exists by default for previously created internal ledgers and applies only to users already connected to the specific internal ledger. This authority class will not be available by default when adding users to existing internal ledgers or new internal ledgers
