Define City Codes

Explanation

Use this activity to create or modify the city codes that can be used when entering address information in IFS/Enterprise and for other purposes, such as reporting.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• State codes must be entered in the States window.
• County codes must be entered in the Counties window.
• A country code must be connected to a state code.

System Effects

There are no system effects as a result of this activity.

Procedure

1. Open the Cities window.
2. Query for the country code and the state code for which you want to add or modify city codes.
3. To create a new city code, create a new record.
4. In the County Code field, use the List of Values to select a county code for the city code record you are adding or modifying. The county name will display automatically.
5. In the City Code field, enter the new city code if you are adding a city code record. If you are modifying an existing city code record, you cannot edit this field.
6. In the City Name field, enter the city name that corresponds to the city code. If you are modifying an existing record, you can change the contents of this field.
7. Save the record.
