Correct Errors In Receiving Interface

Explanation

Use this activity to correct errors reported by the receiving interface.

The receiving interface that is called must read all the unpacked input transactions and then process them further, e.g. creating transactions in the External Vouchers Interface, validating the external voucher transactions and sending vouchers to the hold table. If the receiving interface reports errors, then these errors must be corrected in that specific interface, not in the External Files toolkit.

Prerequisites

The last step in the input file process where a receiving input package (interface) is called must have been performed, and it must have resulted in interface-specific errors being reported. This step can be executed in one of the following ways:

The load will be assigned the state Transferred, but the incorrect lines will have Transfer Error status and there will be text describing the error.

System Effects

The reported errors must be corrected in the receiving interface. For example, you may need to correct the transactions in that interface before processing them again.
