Send/Save New Document in Mail Client

Explanation

This activity is used to send and save e-mails in a mail client which is the first step of the e-mail add-in process. MS Outlook and IBM Lotus Notes are the supported mail clients. E-mails are saved in IFS Document Management.

Prerequisites

IFS Document Management Office Add-In or the IFS Document Management Widget for Lotus Notes must have been installed.

System Effects

If the default value for Show CRM Mail Add-In in CRM Basic Data/CRM Default Values tab is FALSE, a business mail record will be created and references will be connected automatically without using the Mail Add-In.

Procedure

  1. Open the mail client.
  2. Select/Open an existing message.
  3. Go to IFS Applications tab.
  4. Select Save as New Document.

This will direct user to the Actions dialog box in IFS Applications/IFS Document Management.
