Create Sales Quotation from Business Opportunity Line

Explanation

When your customer has requested a quotation for one or more lines on the business opportunity, you can create a sales quotation from these lines. You can select the line or lines in the Business Opportunity window and use the Create Sales Quotation right mouse button option. The Create Sales Quotation from Opportunity dialog box appears in order to update information.

Prerequisites

• The business opportunity must have the Confirmed status.
• The customer category should either be Customer or Prospect.

System Effects

• A sales quotation is created, using all available information on the business opportunity header and line. The status of the business opportunity is updated to In Progress. 
• The selected opportunity lines will generate new sales quotation lines. A reference to the originating opportunity line will be stored on the quotation line. If the opportunity lines belong to different sites, one sales quotation for each site will be created.

Procedure

1. Open the Business Opportunity window, and search for the required opportunity.
2. Select the line or lines from which you want to create a sales quotation.
3. Right-click and then click Create Sales Quotation. The Create Sales Quotation from Opportunity dialog box appears.
4. If needed, update the wanted delivery date, delivery address and document address.
5. Confirm by clicking OK.
