Create Document Folder

Explanation

Use this activity to create a document folder. Document folders are used to group documents. A document folder can be placed in a structure of folders by giving it a parent folder.

Procedure

To create a document folder in a window:

  1. Open the Document Folders window or Document Folder Navigator window. 
  2. Click New to create an empty row.
  3. Enter an ID for the document folder in the Folder Name field.
  4. Optionally, enter values in the other fields and modify them if necessary.
  5. Click Save to create your document folder.

To create a document folder via the Business Object Explorer:

  1. Expand the Business Object Explorer folder in the IFS Navigator.
  2. Expand the Explore Documents folder in the IFS Navigator.
  3. Right-click on a tree view for Document Folder(s) and click Create Folder.
  4. In the Create New Folder dialog box, enter an ID for the Folder Name field.
  5. Optionally, enter values in the other fields and modify them if necessary.
  6. Click OK to create your document folder.
