Set Contract Baseline

Explanation

Use this activity to set a contract baseline. To be able to compare the initial contract baseline with the tender baseline and the current contract, it is important that the contract baseline is set after the contract has been agreed upon with the customer. This is especially important when there is a need to document what was originally agreed. It will in addition be useful when having to change to the contract after it has been agreed upon.

Once the contract baseline is set for a contract revision and further changes are needed, a new revision must be created.

Prerequisites

• A contract must be in the Awarded, Under Review, or Active status.
• An active contract revision must exist.

System Effects

• The contract baseline will be set for the active revision.
• If the contract revision is not already frozen it will be frozen. No further changes to this revision will be allowed.
• The Contract Baseline check box on the Sales Contract/General tab will be selected.

Procedure

1. In either the Sales Contract or the Sales Contracts window, query for the contract number.
2. Right-click and then click Set Contract Baseline.
3. Click OK.
