Select Repair Order Type

Explanation

This activity is used to select the kind of environment the service should be processed in. The environment and the complexity of the service determines which repair order type to use. You can select between the following repair order types:

The preferred repair order type is selected from the Repair Order Type field on the component repair order line.

Prerequisites

A component repair order line must have been created.

System Effects

A repair order type is selected for the component repair order line. This means that the corresponding order is created when releasing for repair.

Procedure

  1. Open the Component Repair Order window and search for an existing component repair order.
  2. Click the Repairs tab and select component repair order line.
  3. In the Repair Order Type field, select the requested repair order type by using the list.
  4. Save your record.

Note: You can change to any of the other repair order types if other requirements arise.
