Add Operations on Repair Shop Order

Explanation

This activity is used to manually add an operation on a repair shop order created from the component repair order line. A manually added operation will not be connected to any service type. If the requirement is to map the related machine and labor transactions with a service type, then this connection must be established manually.

As a result of this activity, an operation is added to the repair shop order, which is pegged to a component repair order.

Procedure

  1. Open the Component Repair Order window and search for an existing component repair order.
  2. Click the Repairs tab.
  3. Select a component repair order line released to repair with the repair order type Repair Shop Order.
  4. Click the Repair Order tab, right-click and click Repair Shop Order. The Shop Order window opens.
  5. Click the Operation tab.
  6. Create a new record and define required operations.
  7. Save.

Note: In the Service Type field you can connect the operation to a service type recorded for the component repair order line.
