Verify Sign Off of Task
Explanation
This activity is used to verify the sign off of a
task. In addition to an inspector sign off, there can be requirements for a
counter inspector sign off for the task. This serves as a second and confirming
signature for a task already signed off by an inspector. The following rules
apply when signing off a task:
- If sign off requirements with both Inspector
and Counter Inspector requirement types are defined on the task, two
different persons are required to sign off the task.
- If a license has been defined for the
counter inspector sign off requirements on the task, the person signing off
the task must have the necessary qualifications to perform the sign off.
Note: If a license is not used for the counter inspector
sign off requirements when signing off, the identity of the person
performing the sign off is retained but validations will not be performed.
- When signing off a task where more than one signature requirement has been defined for the same requirement type, only
one signature can be specified and the person signing off must have all
licenses required.
Prerequisites
To perform this activity, tasks with counter inspector sign off
requirements must exist on the maintenance order. These tasks must be in the
Work Done status.
System Effects
- The task is signed off.
- The ID of the person who performed the sign off and the date of signing
off is entered automatically on the sign off requirement.
- If all sign off requirements have been performed on the task, the
Sign Off Performed check box is selected on the task record.
- Counter inspector sign off information on the task will be retained in
history.
