Define Reasons for Absence

Explanation

This activity is used to define reasons for absence which are used when absence is registered in the Absence window. Absence reason is mandatory if the Reason ID Mandatory check box is selected for the relevant absence types in the Absence Configuration window.

Procedure

  1. Open the Absence Reason window and create a new record.
  2. Enter an ID and description for the absence reason.
  3. Select the Default Absence Reason check box for the reason ID which should by default be used as the reason for absence. Note: This only applies when absence reason is mandatory for the absence type used for absence registration.
  4. Save the information.
