Define Additional Absence Limits

Explanation

This activity is used to connect additional absence types to the absence type selected in the Absence Configuration/Absence Group/Limit Definition tab. Additional absence types entered using this activity are allowed to use the absence limits of the selected absence type.

Note: Additional absence types should always belong to a separate absence group. Also, the absence type which you connect as an additional absence type should have the Automatic Additional Limit Allocate check box selected in the Absence Configuration window if it should be usable as an additional absence type at the time of registering absence.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, a separate absence group with absence types are required to be defined in the Absence Configuration window.

Procedure

1. Open the Absence Configuration window and select the required absence group in the navigator.
2. Go to the Absence Group/Limit Definition tab.
3. Select an absence type in this tab, right-click and click Absence Limit Additional Allocate. The Absence Additional Limit window will open and the details of the absence type you selected will show in the header of this window.
4. Create a new record in the table. Enter the absence type you want to use as an additional absence type connected to the same limits. Note that you can only enter absence types belonging to other absence groups.
5. Save the information.
