Register Induction Program Activities
Explanation
Use this activity to register induction (orientation)
activities that employees should complete as part of their induction program.
The most common induction activity is meeting with a
Recruitment Officer or HR personnel and the employee's direct supervisor. Some induction
programs include activities such as getting a photo ID, getting measurement for work
uniforms, signing documents, etc. Some may also include a training program.
The induction program is generally the same for all
employees. However, there may be cases where additional or different tasks are required.

There are no prerequisites.

As a result of this activity, induction programs will be registered in the
system.

Procedure
- Open the Standard Induction Programs window.
- Add a new record.
- In the Induction Program Action field, enter the name for the
induction activity.
- In the Description field, enter a short description of the
induction activity.
- Select the Mandatory check box if you want to suggest the
induction activity to be included in every induction program. As a result,
the activity will automatically appear for every employee for whom an
induction program is registered.
- In the Duration field, enter an estimate of how long the
induction activity will last. The value can be in hours, days, weeks,
months, or years.
- In the Duration Unit field, enter the appropriate time unit for
the Duration field.
- Save your changes.
