Register Physical Characteristics
Explanation
Use this activity to register physical characteristics that can be used to
describe an employee, e.g., strength, eyesight, height, stamina, allergies etc.
These characteristics can be then assigned to employees (to inform if they have
them and at what level) or to jobs (to inform if a job requires them and at what
level).
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, physical characteristics will become available
in the system to describe employees or jobs.

Procedure
- Open the Physical Characteristics window and add a new
record.
- In the Physical Characteristic field, enter a characteristic that
you want to register in the system, e.g., eyesight.
- In the Measurement Method field, select how the characteristic
can be measured:
- Select Qualitative if characteristic has is measured by a
description, such as: Below Average, Average, Above Average,
Exceptional.
Note: If this option is selected, a set of measurement levels has
to be defined in the Qualitative Measurements field.
- Select Quantitative if characteristic is measured by a
number, e.g., height.
- Select Yes/No if someone can either have or not have a
certain characteristic, e.g., Nickel Allergy.
- In the Physical Characteristic Description field, you can enter a
short description for the characteristic.
- Save your changes.
