Register Personality Characteristics
Explanation
Use this activity to register personality traits that can be used to describe
an employee, e.g., stress resistance, leadership skills, flexibility, etc. These
characteristics can be then assigned to employees (to inform if they have them
and at what level) or to jobs (to inform if a job requires them and at what
level).
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a set of personality traits is registered in
the system and becomes available for assignment.

Procedure
- Open the Personality Characteristics window and add a new
record.
- In the Personality Characteristic field, enter a characteristic
that you want to register in the system, e.g., leadership skills.
- In the Measurement Method field, select how the characteristic
can be measured:
- Select Qualitative if characteristic has is measured by a
description, such as: Below Average, Average, Above Average,
Exceptional.
Note: If this option is selected, a set of measurement levels has
to be defined in the Qualitative Measurements field.
- Select Quantitative if characteristic is measured by a
number, e.g., IQ.
- Select Yes/No if someone can either have or not have a
certain characteristic, e.g., flexibility.
- In the Personality Characteristic Description field, you can
enter a short description for the characteristic.
- Save your changes.
