Usage

Use this tab to indicate how you want the system to display objects in the Gantt chart time schedule. This includes the information that appears in an object's tool tip as well as on its depiction in a Gantt chart.

For when using APB/CBS for manufacturing:

For example, in the Tardy Shop Orders scenario, Tardy Shop Orders plot setting in the Saved Plot Option list is set by default and attached to the particular scenario. When the user opens the Tardy Shop Orders scenario the Tardy Shop Order plot setting will be shown automatically. These pre-defined plot settings are created and saved to reuse so that the users do not have to set them manually from time to time. Value derived from the Saved Plot Option list which is given as the plot settings, implies the use of it. Any user can use any of the plot setting values for their respective scenarios apart from what it is being named and what the name of it implies. For example, Tardy Shop Orders plot setting can be used for all project scenarios if needed. These plot settings are pre-defined and can change when it is needed. There are four pre-defined plot settings named as All Projects, All Shop Orders, Tardy Shop Orders and All Batch Balance ID’s. Users can also define their own plot setting and can apply to any scenario when needed as well.

For when using Maintenance Planning Board (MPB) for maintenance:

When the user opens the All Work Orders scenario the All Work Order plot setting will be shown automatically. These pre-defined plot settings are created and saved to reuse so that the users do not have to set them manually from time to time. This tab contains:

Saved Plot Options: A list of saved plot options. Each value represents a specific set of plot options. This list includes pre-configured sets as well as custom sets.

Derive Gantt Detail Plot Settings from Gantt Overview: Select this check box to indicate that, in a Gantt Chart window, the plot settings defined for the Gantt Overview pane need to be applied to the Gantt Detail pane as well. If this check box is not selected, it is possible to maintain separate plot settings for each of these panes.
